Engineering Management at UCF

The Master of Science in Engineering Management degree in Industrial Engineering focuses on effective decision-making and the successful delivery of innovative solutions in engineering and technological organizations. The degree is offered on campus and can be taken entirely through the Florida Engineering Educational Delivery System (FEEDS), which provides videostreamed versions of classes over the internet.

Where Graduates Work

UCF’s industrial engineering programs provide job preparation through hands-on experiences with industry clients. Internships and jobs are plentiful with UCF’s proximity to Central Florida Research Park and Florida’s high-tech corridor. UCF also offers a Lean Six Sigma “Green Belt” certification, and an accelerated five-year bachelor’s/master’s degree. Our graduates have successful careers at top public and private organizations, including Lockheed Martin, L3Harris, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, IBM, and NASA.

Course Overview

Project Engineering

Uncover the role of the engineer in project management with emphasis on project life cycle, quantitative and qualitative methods of cost, schedule, and performance control.

Explore techniques for innovation and presents methods for engineers to foster innovation when designing new products or systems.

Capstone investigation and analysis of topics for improving engineering enterprises in national and international competitive environments. Quantitative engineering tools/methods will be used.
