Ambassadors will represent the university to the highest degree and participate in campus tours, engagement events, and student activities at the new campus in downtown Orlando. Ambassadors should be well-rounded UCF students who excel academically while being actively involved in university life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"float-right img-fluid alignright wp-image-1980\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/downtown\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/21\/files\/2019\/01\/ucf_56426176_Medium-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/21\/files\/2019\/01\/ucf_56426176_Medium-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/21\/files\/2019\/01\/ucf_56426176_Medium-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/21\/files\/2019\/01\/ucf_56426176_Medium-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/21\/files\/2019\/01\/ucf_56426176_Medium-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/21\/files\/2019\/01\/ucf_56426176_Medium-360x240.jpg 360w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/21\/files\/2019\/01\/ucf_56426176_Medium.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Serving ten hours a week or less during the semester, Ambassadors will work to educate UCF students about UCF Downtown academics and campus resources through a variety of in-person and online initiatives, including university events and social media marketing.<\/p>\n<p>A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, be a good communicator, organized, proactive, possess good time management skills and have an eye for detail.\u00a0Students enrolled in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/downtown\/academics\/\">downtown campus major<\/a> and with prior internship or work experience is preferred. Minimal travel is required for this position, which is based at UCF Downtown.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<p>Represent UCF Downtown by providing appropriate information to current and incoming UCF students at tabling events, information booths, and outreach events in collaboration with UCF faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend required regular team meetings to discuss experiences, programs, performance, and ongoing training.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with planning and content creation for UCF Downtown social channels, marketing materials and other promotional and grassroots marketing activities.<\/li>\n<li>Provide\u00a0information\u00a0and\u00a0materials, and conduct presentations about the downtown experience to small and large groups such as student clubs, student organizations, and classes.<\/li>\n<li>Table on behalf of UCF Downtown at open house and recruitment events.<\/li>\n<li>Attend UCF Downtown events to engage with students and other audiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Expected Qualifications for Student Ambassadors:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Students must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be able to work up to 10 hours per work<\/li>\n<li>Have a GPA of 3.0 or above<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in at least two clubs or student activities<\/li>\n<li>Be active on social media<\/li>\n<li>Have knowledge and skills to record and edit videos and photos<\/li>\n<li>Have a flexible class schedule, in order to attend campus events and activities<\/li>\n<li>Be comfortable with public speaking<\/li>\n<li>Be able to attend events throughout the year<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work on teams and with peers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>UCF students interested in the Student Ambassador position should send a resume and cover letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:UCFDowntown@ucf.edu\">UCFDowntown@ucf.edu<\/a> with the subject line: \u201cStudent Ambassador Application\u201d no later than Sunday, March 15 at midnight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The University of Central Florida seeks to fill positions for its new student ambassador team at UCF Downtown.
