On April 13, 2010, the UCF Jazz Ensemble, comprised of freshmen, sophomores, and a few juniors in the emerging Jazz Studies program, recorded seven pieces with director Jeff Rupert.
The resulting collaboration, includes not only classics but also new works such as 麻豆精品 S淏ad Moon 麻豆精品 S� and the title track written specifically for the UCF Jazz Ensemble.
Jazz singer Vance Villastrigo joins the band on the jazz standard, 麻豆精品 S淭he Eternal Triangle 麻豆精品 S�, arranged by Cliff Pecota and on the soul classic, 麻豆精品 S淢e and Mrs. Jones 麻豆精品 S�, arranged specifically for this collaboration.
Repertory works include the Fletcher Henderson arrangement of 麻豆精品 S淏ugle Call Rag 麻豆精品 S�, featuring several student soloists along with Allan Vach茅 on clarinet, whose contribution is exciting and flawless.
Thomas Potter (UCF voice faculty) joins the UCF band and Villastrigo for a remake of the James Brown classic, 麻豆精品 S淚t 麻豆精品 S檚 a Man 麻豆精品 S檚 World 麻豆精品 S�, inspired by the James Brown/Luciano Pavarotti collaboration. 麻豆精品 S淟ush Life 麻豆精品 S� and 麻豆精品 S淪pring Can Really Hang you Up the Most 麻豆精品 S� are live performances by the UCF Jazz Professors at the internationally-acclaimed UCF Orlando Jazz Festival.
