The Rosen College Peer Mentor Program held a wrap-up event on Friday, Dec. 2 to celebrate the end of the fall semester.

The student mentors and mentees enjoyed a presentation by Dennis Levy, Rosen College Fall 2010 graduate who is now the Director of Purchasing & Development with SLA Management.聽 Levy was in charge of winning the bid that resulted in SLA Management overseeing The Courtyard Caf茅 at Rosen College.

Vanessa Cogswell developed the Peer Mentor Program this semester.聽 The Coordinator for Rosen College 麻豆精品 S檚 Office of Student Services shares, 麻豆精品 S淚 invited Dennis to speak to the Peer Mentor Program to give them inspiration and motivation.聽 I think when students see Rosen Alumni who are doing well in the industry it reminds them why they chose Rosen College.聽 麻豆精品 S

The program was developed to increase retention and graduation rates within the hospitality college.聽 Undergraduate students with GPAs above 3.0 are partnered with peers to enhance their overall college experience academically, socially and personally.聽 Throughout the semester, students have engaged in icebreakers, one-on-one sessions, a 麻豆精品 S淜now Your Resources 麻豆精品 S scavenger hunt and more.

The Peer Mentor Program looks forward to continuing during the Spring 2012 term.聽 Cogswell shares, 麻豆精品 S淲e 麻豆精品 S檙e wanting to expand and become a viable program that positively represents Rosen College. 麻豆精品 S
