Nikki Smith, a University of Central Florida graduate and an assistant technical director at Lucasfilm\u2019s Industrial Light & Magic division, will give a presentation at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, about working on films and games.<\/p>\n
Smith\u2019s presentation at UCF\u2019s Center for Emerging Media, 500 W. Livingston St., Orlando, will be \u201cDiving Into The Industry As a Technical Artist.\u201d She\u2019ll also discuss some industry myths and tips for students looking to get into the industry.<\/p>\n
Smith is a graduate of UCF\u2019s Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy. She also worked at Lucasfilm Animation and Electronic Arts, and her credits include Madden NFL Football 2012, NCAA Football 2012 and an unannounced animated film.<\/p>\n
Industrial Light & Magic is a division of the film company that was founded by George Lucas in 1975.<\/p>\n
